Our Story

Sedac Foundation is a child of the desire for a better Nigeria. Nigeria is a country with many ethnic groups and diverse culture. Each ethnic group see the other as enemy that cannot be trusted and work with. There is deep anger and hatred for the other. Ethnicity has taken the place for national interest. There are also cases of kidnapping, herdsmen/farmer clash, boko haram, militancy, IPOB, cultism which are affecting our national unity and peaceful co-existence. Most of these issues are caused by poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, lack of dialogue, bad governance and lack of basic amenities. These are issues affecting world peace and constitute a gap for which Sedac Foundation is set up to fill. It is also arguable that 2 out of 3 young Nigerian is desperate to leave the country as a result of these issues.
