Youth for Peace Project is designed to build the capacity of the young people in peace building. Young women and young men have a critical role in promoting and maintaining international peace and security. Majority of the youths in Nigeria are very peaceful. Our peace project is a network of peace ambassadors who work together for the benefits of this country. We believe that through our youth for peace initiative, we can champion the course of National Unity and peaceful co-existence. This we hope achieve through public sensitization, advocacy and capacity building of our young people on the need for dialogue instead of taking arms.
Youth for Peace (Y4P) Project
- Objectives:
- Promote awareness of practices inimical to the environment
- Advocate for the protection of the environment.
- Educate the rural populace on the importance of waste management
- Encourage migration from firewood to environmental friendly fuel.
- Identify and educate rural dwellers environmental pollution agents in their communities, and on how to fight them.
- Advocate and promote policies that protect oil producing communities against air pollution arising from oil and gas activities.
